          our first date.
              august 13, 2008

My friend and I drove to Provo in my jeep (with no top, so our hair was crazy) to meet Andrew and Quinn.  We went to Trafalga for the batting cages, and we always joke about how I protested, “oh nooo…let’s do something fun instead”—which was code for “I don’t know how to bat very well”—Andrew picked up on it right away and said I’d be fine.  he and I agreed I turned out to be okay (beginner’s luck I think).  we caught a few minutes of the summer Olympics, got frozen yogurt at Spoon Me, and the four of us drove up to squaw peak to throw around a football in the nice summer evening weather.  I remember driving home thinking I couldn’t remember the last time I had had so much fun. lets give em something to talk about

the beautiful day I went through the temple.

(one year from the day we met!)

I had gone with my mom and grandma to buy all the special clothes I needed for the temple and had gotten my recommend, so I was all prepared!  andrew and I had to get to the temple at 6:30, and it was the best way to spend our moring!

it was so nice and so special.  I loved going through and having the support of all of our

family.  afterwards we went out to breakfast at kneaders!  I got

to see aaron and Marcia and their kids, I was

so excited they were in town for a really special experience.

andrew and I were both glad we had chosen to be worthy for the temple and our upcoming marriage.

me and my parents

speaking of which…afterwards, we were pooped!  my parents found us asleep on the couch we had just bought which was being stored in their basement.

my mom reported that my dad came up and said, “uh oh, andrew and meredith are sleeping together”. ha ha.

the silly day we met.

“I like your moves, and your get-up” was his pickup line of choice.  I met andrew and we talked for a few minutes at area 51 in Salt Lake for eighties dancing.  I wasn’t sure what to think of him at first, but I knew he was cute!  when a friend called me a few days later and said some guys from dancing wanted to go on a double date in provo, I said okay!
